Maria qualified as an English teacher in 2006 and has taught English Language and Literature to pupils in Key Stages 2 – 5. With a proven track record of classroom practice and outstanding results, Maria, following a rigorous external inspection process, was awarded Advanced Skills Teacher (AST) status in 2012. As an AST, Maria has been instrumental in improving classroom standards across the Primary and Secondary sector in a variety of subjects through coaching, training and CPD. Maria is also a GCSE examiner and has a comprehensive working knowledge of the new specifications and requirements at GCSE as well as the Key Stage 2 curriculum reforms.

 

A passionate teacher, leader and parent, Maria is now enthused at the prospect of engaging students and parents in high quality learning with high quality teachers beyond the classroom; supporting learning, progress, confidence and, importantly, enjoyment of learning with pupils of all ages and abilities.
