Introducing our newest publication brought to you by our specialist English Literature GCSE team.

Aiming for Grades 7 and 9
This guide has been uniquely developed using our wealth of experience as teachers, curriculum leaders and examiners. After many years of supporting some of the most able students across the Trafford Grammar Schools and beyond, our team soon realised that most publications do not quite manage to deliver what students working towards the top grades really need. Critically, what distinguishes a grade 7-9 candidate is their level of perceptive insight alongside exceptional text familiarity. This revision guide has been developed specifically to meet these needs:
First and foremost, the guide works from the text itself, this is not a guide characterised by summaries, but one which practically engages and directs students to the text itself.
Instead of summaries you will find key analytical and evaluative commentaries that work throughout the revision guide to help students to track perceptive interpretations of the text, identifying how ideas are developed across the text as a whole.

Our Ethos
Our team firmly believes there are no shortcuts to achieving top grades. Success comes from fully and comprehensively engaging with the text, enabling students to develop the profound and perceptive responses required for excellence.
Our guide reflects our proven classroom methods: working directly from the text, engaging deeply with it, making meaningful connections, and conducting detailed, close analysis. We leave no stone unturned, revelling in exploring conflicting and nuanced interpretations, sparking great debates that enrich understanding.
This guide is designed to give you a taste of our classroom learning approach. We hope that through deeper engagement with the text, students will not only enjoy the subject more but also unlock their full potential—where achievement knows no limits.
